Recruitment into public service on social media fake–PSC

The Public Services Commission (PSC) has said recruitment announcement into the public service circulating on various social media platforms is fake and should be disregarded by the public.

The Commission said it had not requested job seekers to report to its offices to fill public service job application forms for recruitment neither had it contracted any agency to do so on its behalf.

“It must be emphasised that the Commission does not charge any application or processing fee for any of its recruitment processes or authorise a person or an organisation to recruit on its behalf,” it said in a statement.

Signed and issued by Dr Janet Ampadu Fofie, Chairman of the Commission, in Accra on Tuesday, it said all genuine vacancies from PSC were advertised in the national dailies or posted on the Commission’s website only.

“The general public should take note of this information and report any person or organisation behind this nefarious exercise to the Security Agencies. The commission assumes no responsibility for any vacancies or announcements of such organisations or person(s)”, the statement said.
