Real offer Hazard £400,000-a-week

Belgian playmaker Eden Hazard looks set to become one of the highest-paid footballers in Europe this summer if he leaves Chelsea for Real Madrid.

The 28-year-old has long been linked with the Spanish giants, with a move likely to finally go through at the end of the season.

Hazard is keen to end his Chelsea career on a high and his current club have plenty left to play for as they chase a top-four finish and Europa League glory.

According to The Sun, Chelsea will allow Hazard to leave for a transfer fee in the region of £100million once their season is over.

And it is also claimed that the big-spending Spanish giants have offered Hazard a weekly wage of £400,000 after tax, which equates to more than £20m per year.

Hazard has been Chelsea’s main man this season, scoring 16 goals and assisting another 13 in 34 Premier League appearances.

Since joining Chelsea from Lille in 2012, Hazard has won two Premier League titles, one FA Cup, one League Cup and one Europa League.

Real have endured a disappointing season, with the FIFA Club World Cup their only piece of silverware.

But having won the Champions League three years in a row, Real are expected to bounce back strongly, especially if their summer shopping spree goes as planned.
