Rates for Black Meteors, Stars matches released

The National Sports Authority (NSA) in consultation with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (MoYS) has released rates for Saturday’s double-header at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The Black Meteors will engage their Gabonese counterparts in a Tokyo 2020 qualifier in the first match of the day.

Following will be the Black Stars final AFCON qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in what will determine the side that tops the group.

According to the NSA in a statement signed by its Acting Head of Public Relations, tickets have been priced in a manner that will ensure that fans throng the stadium in their numbers to support the Black Meteors and Black Stars to victory.

Tickets to the VVIP stand would be sold for GH¢30.00; VIP for GH¢20.00, Osu Stand for GH¢10.00 and Popular Stand for Gh¢ 5.00.

It said tickets will cover all two matches.

Meanwhile, the NSA has congratulated Kumasi Asante Kotoko for their gallant display in the CAF Confederation Cup competition despite the failure to advance from the group stage.

“It is refreshing to note that for the first time in over a decade, a Ghanaian club was able to reach the group stage of this prestigious tournament, even in the absence of a competitive football activity in the country,” a statement signed by Mr. Charles Obeng Amofah, Head of Public Relations said.

The Authority further congratulates fans of Kotoko for exhibiting the “Wu kum apem apem be ba” spirit by trooping to the Baba Yara Stadium in their numbers to support their club, which resulted in a record spectator attendance.

“Once again we say ‘ayekoo’ to the management, playing body and the teeming fans of the club and wish them well in their next campaign.”
