Rapid transformation of Hohoe changed political narrative—Togbe Keh

The Divisional Chief of Gbi Wegbe in the Volta Region, Togbe Keh XII, has observed that the president’s unprecedented development of the Hohoe Constituency, over the last four years, has changed the political narrative.

“It is needless to list all the numerous and massive growth and development projects in the area because it is there for all to see and we in Hohoe particular, and the municipality as a whole, have become beneficiaries so far and we will continue to benefit from more of such projects,” he said.

Togbe Keh indicated that the developmental projects at Hohoe had led to the change in the political narrative to the colour “blue” and no more “green” and people of Hohoe know what is good for them and there was no turning back on the great feat.

Speaking on behalf of the chiefs and people of the Gbi and Alavanyo Traditional Areas during President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo’s tour to the Volta Region, he commended him and his government for the determination, dedication and commitment to fixing the challenges Hohoe faced and the country as a whole.

“Through the instrumentality of few prominent citizens of the land, numerous opportunities in terms of education and employment have been created. We express our gratitude for your warm reception of the delegation to officially announce the demise of our Paramount Chief, Togbega Gabusu VI and Paramount Queen mother of Gbi, subsequent dates for their funerals and we remain grateful for the donations made towards the royal funeral,” he stated.

President Akufo-Addo pointed out that he was in Hohoe to thank the people for the historic choice of a New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate, John-Peter Amewu, to represent them, forming a bridgehead into the Volta Region, an outstanding member of his government, who had proven to be a worthy son of the soil and holding high banner of communities.

He pledged government’s commitment, dedication and determination to working on the water expansion project, which would produce 44,000 metric tonnes of water to communities. -GNA
