Prof. Opoku-Agyemang advises varsity students about wellbeing on campus

Professor Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) running mate of John Dramani Mahama in the 2020 general election has urged university students in the country to be cautious of what they do with their lives and time on campus as it may have far reaching consequences for their future.

She said as students they were in their stage of growing physically, mentally, socially and emotionally and should strive to nurture these growths into positive actions and outcomes.

Prof. Opoku-Agyemang, a former Minister of Education made the assertion at a Relationship Talk Show organised by the Law Students Union of the University of Cape Coast (UCC), on the topic “From Classroom to Love room”

She urged the students to support each other, help each other and never forget the purposes of their being in school and to always maintain the attitude of not putting their inadequacies on their partners.

The law students demonstrated their appreciation to the first female Vice Chancellor of the University of Cape Coast (UCC) by honouring her with a citation for her “well-meaning, selfless and dedicated nature, especially towards student growth and excellence.”

The citation partly read ‘as far as students are concerned, your motherly instincts lead the way, allowing you to make lasting impacts in the lives of people like us.’

The students were full of praise for Prof. Opoku-Agyemang for accepting at a rather short notice, to guide and guard their lives.
