Prof Mills Memorial lectures schedule for Sept 29 in Ho

This year’s Professor John Evans Atta Mills Commemorative Memorial Lectures and the 10th Anniversary of his passing have been scheduled for Thursday, September 29, 2022, at the Cedi Auditorium of the University of Health and Allied Sciences (UHAS) at Ho in the Volta Region.

It is being organised by Local Organising Committee of JEA Mills Memorial Heritage on the theme: The man John Evans Atta Mills- Ten years on.

It is to harness the rich experiences and thoughts of speakers from various backgrounds and experiences of the phenomenal life of the late former President.

There would be a launch of a book containing speeches and addresses delivered by former Prof. JEA Mills during his tenure as President.

Addressing journalists yesterday in Ho, the chairman of the Local Organising Committee, Mr Prince Kofi Kludjeson, noted that the late President Mills’ legacy as President in the Fourth Republic of Ghana remained outstanding.

He said there was the need to deepen the legacy of President Mills’ excellence in law, taxation and sports.

Mr Kludjeson said the late President “was somebody who invested in his people and engaged in charity work.”

He said the Asomdwehene, as the late President was called, was noted for his zeal for creating a better Ghana for all, and his restless quest for excellence and integrity were unmatched in ensuring that Ghanaians had nothing but the best.

The keynote speaker for the Volta / Oti Region edition of the event would be the foundation Vice Chancellor of UHAS, Professor Fred Binka   and chaired by Nana Allo Soglo IV, Paramount Chief of Likpe Traditional Area, and former President of the Volta Regional House of Chiefs.
