President inspects ‘Agenda 111’ project at Kpandai

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo yesterday inspected progress of work on the Kpandai District Hospital in the Northern Region which forms part of the Agenda 111 programme.

According to him, the hospital was one of the 87 different hospital facilities currently under construction across the country under the programme.

When completed, he said, the hospitals would enhance effective health care delivery in the country.

The President assured that the hospitals would be completed before the expiration of his term of office.

The visit of the President to Kpandai formed part of his three-day working visit to the area.

He said the hospital would add up to the existing government healthcare facilities in the area, and help address the phenomenon of long distance travels by residents to access health care.

President Akufo-Addo noted that his government was committed to ensuring that health infrastructure development got to every community in the country.

“We are committed to our task and we would work to deliver that,” he stated.

President Akufo-Addo explained that the visit to the area was to avail himself to the people and to check the progress of government projects in the districts.

He further called on the chiefs and people in the Kpandai Traditional Area to unite as one to drive development.

The chiefs applauded the President for the number of developmental projects in the area.

They, however, appealed for more infrastructure projects in Kpandai and its surrounding communities.
