Police Ladies dare Hasaacas Ladies …in top WPL clash

Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies and Police Ladies will lock horns at the Sekondi Gyandu Park tomorrow in a top match day three encounter of the ongoing Malta Guinness Women’s Premier League Southern zone.

Hasaacas Ladies have already announced their intentions in the league, having scored full marks in two games and leading the Southern zone league table.

A hard fought 1-0 win against Berry Ladies and 6-2 thrashing of debutants Essiam Socrates last week suggests a team that wants to top the zone and have a shot at the title they lost last season.

However, games against Police Ladies does not follow form guide.

Police Ladies are yet to win a game in the league. They lost their first game 2-1 to Thunder Queens and drew 0-0 with Ridge City.

The last time both sides met at the same venue last season, Police Ladies took a 2-0 first half lead before the host came back in the second half to earn a draw.

The reverse fixture in Accra went the way of Hasaacas Ladies 2-0.

In other games in the Southern zone, newcomers Ridge City, with a single point from two games, will return to their Madina Astroturf with the hope of picking their first win against Thunder Queens who are yet to lose a game.

After suffering a shock 1-0 loss to Ladystrikers last week, Faith Ladies will hope to bounce backagainst Army Ladies at the Presec Legon Park while Ladystrikers return to the Robert Mensah Stadium today to play against Berry Ladies.

League champions Ampem Darkoa Ladies will look to continue their fine form when they face Dreamz Ladies at the Ohene Ameyaw Park in Techiman.

In other games of the zone, Ashtown Ladies will host Candy Soccer Academy at the Bantama Astro Turf today; Supreme Ladies will lock horns with Northern Ladies at the Bantama Astro Turf tomorrow with Tamale Super Ladies looking to maintain their bright start to the season against Prison Ladies at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
