Point Hope International opens office at GomoaAprah

Point Hope International, a non-governmental organisation(NGO), focused on supporting vulnerable people has opened an office complex in GomoaAprah in the GomoaEast District of the Central Region of the country.

The move formed part of efforts by the NGO to extend support to persons in need, in the area of education, health and poverty alleviation, whiles providing a conducive environment for workers and volunteers.

Speaking at a short ceremony to inaugurate the facility, Executive Director of Point Hope International, Mr Jan Johnson Haynes, indicated that it behooved everyone to contribute their quota towards the improvement of the lives of impoverished persons, especially for the sake of children who had found themselves in destitute families.

That, he said would help to improve lives and promote happiness and sound mind among the most disadvantaged members of the public, adding that was the reason the organisation often embarked on activities to seek help for needy people, no matter where they were.

According to him, the new office would help his outfit discharge more satisfactory services to a lot more needy people in society.

“After several fund raising events and the support of our friends from the United States of America (USA), we are glad to have come this far. Our main aim is to provide support to vulnerable people so hopefully this new accomplishment will make way for more lives to be touched,” he said.

Inaugurating the facility, the Chief of GomoaAprah, Nana Kofi Ansah, expressed gratitude to the NGO for their contribution towards poverty alleviation in the area and Africa at large.

He also urged residents to support the workers and all representatives of Hope Point International in the various initiatives they would embark on in the area.

“When people are able to gather resources in the sole aim of positively impacting the lives of the vulnerable, they deserve all the necessary support. I thank you for choosing our area for the establishment of this office and also for making it possible for people here to benefit from your generosity,” he added.
