Pastor Kumuyi begins global crusade in Ghana

Thousands of Christians yesterday converged on the Independence Square in Accra as international evangelist, Pastor (Dr) William F. Kumuyi from Nigeria began his maiden global crusade in Ghana.

The five-day event which started yesterday and ends on Tuesday is on the theme “Glorious visitation from Christ.”

Dubbed Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), it is also expected to bring along international evangelists and Christian leaders both from Ghana and abroad to preach the gospel of Christ.

Speaking at a brief press conference in Accra on Tuesday after his arrival for the programme, Pastor (Dr) William F. Kumuyi, the convener for the GCK-Ghana, said the programme was meant to preach the gospel to save a lot of souls for Christ.

The press conference was attended by religious leaders in the country, including the Chairman of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Eric Nyame; Presiding Bishop of the Methodist Church, Ghana, Most Reverend Dr Paul Boafo; Dr Lawrence Tetteh, an international evangelist; Dr Joyce Aryee of the Salt and Light Ministry, Bishop James Saah, who represented Archbishop Duncan Williams of Action Chapel International, and Reverend Dr Robert Ampiah-Kwofi, General Overseer of the Global Revival Ministries, among other clergy, who pledged their support for the programme.

Pastor (Dr) Kumuyi, who is the General Superintendent of the Deeper Life Bible Church, who was accompanied by his wife Esther Kumuyi, stressed that the sick would be healed and the oppressed would be relieved of their bondage.

He said the monthly programme was started in 2021 in Nigeria in which the gospel was shared in all the states in the country.

Pastor (Dr) said he decided to host the programme in Ghana to sell the country to the whole world.

He said the GCK was a non-denominational programme and the objective was to join the church in Ghana to spread the gospel.

“The programme will witness a lot of miracles and all doors which have been closed in the lives of participants will open during the programme,” he said.

Pastor (Dr) Kumuyi said the programme would provide opportunity for the evangelists and pastors to pray for Ghana to address the challenges the country was going through.

He said apart from the crusade, there would be the Ministers and Professionals’ Conference on the theme “Enabling grace power for end time harvest,” to build their leadership capacities to lead their church and businesses.

“There will be Impact Academy on the theme “Upward to higher heights,” to build the capacity of the youth and prepare them to face the future.
