Otto Addo arrives in Ghana …for Madagascar, CAR games

Black Stars Head Coach, Otto Addo has arrived in Ghana to lead the team ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and four-nation tournament next month.

Otto Addo arrived on Friday and headed to Cape Coast with his technical staff for Ghana’s first game of the AFCON qualifying series against Madagascar on June 1.

Otto Addo will be hoping for more success after leading the Black Stars to the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The game against Madagascar will be his third in charge of the Black Stars and will be hoping to extend his unbeaten run as national team Head Coach.

Ghana held its first training session on Saturday at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium, before the game on June 1.

Meanwhile, Black Stars captain, Andre Ayew, Mubarak Wakaso and some other players have arrived in camp ahead of Ghana’s AFCON qualifiers.

Andre Ayew who missed the last international window due to suspension makes a return to the national fold, while Mubarak Wakaso, who has been out of competitive football since 2021 also makes a return.

AS Roma starlet, Felix Afena-Gyan who recently won the UEFA Conference League has also arrived.

The returning Baba Rahman and goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati-Zigi are part of the first batch of arrivals, with many others expected in camp yesterday. –Citisports
