Oseikrom Geng supports Aburi Trinity Orphanage Home

Oseikrom Geng, a social group on Monday donated assorted items to the Trinity Orphanage Home at Aburi in the Akuapem South Municipality of the Eastern Region.

The items included 14 bags of rice and maize, cartons of soft drinks, five bags of second-hand clothes, pieces of pillow, 10 mattresses, gallons of washing soap, stationeries, packs of toiletries, tooth paste, 17 bars of soap and two goats.

The day’s event which marked the 12th anniversary was meant to reach out to the less-privileged in society.

Presenting the items, Administrator of Oseikrom Geng, Mr Saint Obeng Collins, said the group was ready to undertake more philanthropic works and was glad the team contributed immensely to its first project.

According to him, the team had also reached out to individuals with support to set up businesses, enroll others in schools and also cater for their fees and other needs.

He added that in April the team would reach out to other regions with their works and also partner individuals and other benevolent organisations.

Receiving the items, Miss Grace Thompson, Administrator of Trinity Orphanage Home, thanked the team and said the donation was timely.

She pleaded with the team to help with the renovation of their ICT laboratory and the uncompleted two-room dormitories to provide enough accommodation for the children.

Miss Thompson urged other benevolent organisations to emulate same and assured the items would be put to good use.

Oseikrom Geng is a social group with the aim of reaching out to the under privileged and less fortunate in society and has affiliates in Europe and Asia.
