Orthopedic Centre receives medical items

The Orthopedic Training Centre (OTC) in Nsawam in the Eastern Region has received assorted medical supply worth GH¢4, 000, from a non-governmental organisation, to enhance healthcare delivery.

The items including crutches, walkers and two boxes of nose masks were donated by the Shalom Indigenous Foundation (SIF) of the Bible Baptist Church in Madina with support from Grace Baptist Mission Ghana and USA.

The president of the foundation, Reverend Noah T. Quarshie said the presentation was part of with the foundation’s objective to lessen the plight of the less privileged in society.

“We must concern ourselves with the provisions of the less fortunate in our society by sharing with them the blessings we receive from God, that way we provide restitution for them and we in turn receive more of God’s blessings,” he said.

He expressed SIF’s commitment to continue to support the OTC and urged other benevolent people to assist the less privileged.

The Public Relationships Officer of OTC, Mr Eleazer Asante, who received the items on behalf of management, thanked the foundation for the gesture.

He assured that the items would be used for the intended purpose and appealed to other organisations to emulate the gesture.
