Onamroko Adain Family admitted to Gbese Stool

The Head of the Onamroko Adain Family, Nii Josiah Carl Reindorf, and the entire family have been admitted under the Gbese Stool in a short but impressive ceremony on Saturday.

Their admission was based on the fact that the Gbese Onamroko Adain Family, one of the key clans in Gbese, had for a while been absent from Gbese administrative and jurisprudence activities due to internal wrangling.

However, the spectacular event which took place on Saturday has put to an end the family squabbles, created a unity with the stool to open a new chapter in Gbese’s traditional administrative set up based on unity for development.

The entourage was received at the forecourt of Gbese Mantse’s Palace where the necessary traditional norms and practices for such occasions, as protocol demanded, were adhered to before being ushered into the inner chambers to sign a Memorandum of Understandings and Undertakings to guard the future.

In a speech, Nii Ayi- Bonte II, the Gbese Mantse and the Adonten of the State, lauded the initiative of the family and commended them for extending the olive branch to all and sundry for unity to prevail.

He said a new chapter had opened for the family and the Gbese Stool to create a relationship which inure to the benefit of both parties by creating social cohesion for development.

Nii Ayi-Bonte, however, cautioned the family to be proactive in seeking the welfare of all and sundry with mutual respect, based on brotherliness to accelerate the socioeconomic development in the area.

Nii Reindorf commended the Gbese Mantse and his Council of Elders for their foresightedness and unwavering support to ensure peace within the family which had culminated in unity with the Stool.

He promised that the family would continue to adhere to the new principle of unity for development and work in tandem with the Stool to bring the needed development to Gbese and its teeming youth.

Present at the event were Nii Okai Kasablofo V, the Principal Kingmaker of the Gbese Stool (Dsasetse), Nii Ayi Ardeyfio II, Gbese Akwashongtse; Nii Ayikai Notser, Head of the 3rd Royal Ruling House (Naa Onidin/Akua Akwete Krobo Sackey We) and Nii Adu Okine,Head of Okaija Afieye We of Gbese, while the family delegation were led by Nii Reindorf together with his two principal secretaries, James Tetteh Quarcoo and Emmanuel Tetteh.
