Oly record double over Dreams FC

Accra Great Olympics defeated Dreams FC 2-1 at the Accra Sports Stadium on Saturday to sign off the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League in style.

It was surely not one of their best performances of the season but was enough for the AGOSU lads to earn the three points and record a double over the Dawu side.

Having struggled for greater part of the first half, it took a magical strike from substitute striker Abdul Manaf Mudasiru to set Oly on the path to victory when he scored with his very first strike of the game.

Mudasiru had come on for marksman, Maxwell Abbey Quaye who earned a free kick after he was fouled in a build up; that marked the end of the game for him.

Gladson Awako passed the ball to Mudasiru who released a ferocious grounder which Godfred Amoah failed to save to give Oly the leader on the 44th minute.

Mudasiru set Philip Sackey up for Oly’s second goal in the 54th minute.

Ibrahim Issah capitalized on some poor defensive display from the Oly rear men to pull a goal back in the 65th minute.
