NWL: Hasmal Ladies thrash Immigration

Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies on Sunday thrashed Immigration Ladies 4-0 away at the McDan La Town Park.

The win, the second in succession, follows the 9-0 annihilation of Lady Strikers FC last week.

Hasmal Ladies has joined the top three on the table for the first time in the league behind Soccer Intellectuals who lead with 10 points and Police Ladies who are on eight points.

Hasaacas got off to a flying start and could have gone ahead as early as the fourth minute but Evelyn’s strike at goal beat goalkeeper Patricia Mantey in post for Immigration, only to be denied by the woodwork. 

Nine minutes later Doris Boaduwaa put the visitors in front, finishing off nicely from a solo effort.

Boaduwaa was at it again after recess, pouncing on a rebound to nod home the second goal, after an Evelyn Badu shot outside the box was punched out by Mantey. 

Immigrations accepted the challenge and attacked in droves but lacked the finishing touch to beat Grace Baanwa in post for Hasaacas.

Substitute Gifty Assifuah and Comfort Owusu scored two quick goals in the 85th and 87th minutes to increase the tally to four.

Elsewhere, Lady Strikers were beaten 3-0 at home by Elmina Sea lions, Police Ladies settled for a 1-1 result with Halifax Ladies while Soccer Intellectuals jumped to the summit of the log with a 1-0 win over Samaria Ladies. 

In the Northern sector, Ampem Darkoa Ladies lost for the first time in the league at home to bitter rivals Prisons Ladies by 2-1, Pearl Pia Ladies beat Kumasi Academy 1-0, Fabulous Ladies settled for a 1-1 drawn game with Northern ladies same as Ashtown Ladies and Supreme Ladies.
