‘NPP will protect state resources’

Kate Gyamfua, the National Women’s Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has observed that the government will spend money to get something monumental that will benefit the citizenry, rather than splashing money and giving it to them directly.

She insisted that the NPP, unlike the National Democratic Congress (NDC), is committed, dedicated and determined to protecting state resources and work feverishly to improve the economy that the NDC government left behind whilst providing better living conditions for the citizenry.

“I know my people, they will not give money away like that, rather we’ll use it for development projects to serve as monuments to benefit the citizenry, that’s how we’ve been handling issues from time immemorial, it’s really difficult sometimes.

“At some point in time, the citizenry may expect monies to be shared to them, but the NPP government will not share state resources in that manner, nonetheless, the economy is growing at a faster pace now after the NPP government for the past three years spent time and efforts to lay the foundation and improve the economic malaise that the NDC left behind.

“We should exercise patience because we have fixed the economy and certainly money will flow next year and beyond, the NDC has nothing good to offer the country, we must keep the NDC in perpetual opposition so as not to have another opportunity to ‘destroy’ the economy the NPP has restructured for the benefit of the citizenry,” Madam Gyamfua pleaded.

She, thus, cautioned against complacency saying: “We must work harder than 2016 to retain power for the party in 2020 and beyond,” and consequently, urged the rank and file of the party to “remain resolute, resolved, committed and continue to propagate the gospel of government’s achievements to the electorate.” -kasapafmonline.com
