NPP Tain executives call for removal of DCE

The Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Tain District of the Bono Region have called on the president to remove the District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Foriwaa Dwommoh, from office for sabotaging the work of the elected executives of the party and opposing the party internally since 2008.

They also accused her of using other party supporters to play the devil’s advocate whenever the party constitutionally mandated constituency executives put in proper plans to keep the constituency active.

Addressing a press conference at Nsawkaw, the capital of the Tain District, Adama Coulibaly, the Constituency Secretary of the NPP, reminded all NPP faithfuls, well wishers, supporters and sympathisers in the constituency that the people used by Madam Foriwaa Dwommoh, were known people that they were used to, and there was no cause for alarm.

“We, however, want to caution them that if they won’t help us put our constituency in order, they should not try to divert our attention for the pittances they are assured of by their alleged pay mistress, we also appeal to the presidency to act on the petition we sent to them.

“We are using the event to inform all party faithful, well wishers, supporters and sympathisers that our call on the president to sack Madam Dwommoh remains unabated, and we are waiting on him to heed to our call.

“We again want to tell our party faithful, well wishers, sympathisers and supporters to remain calm and allow the peaceful processes we have adopted to reign, group of people sabotaging the party are also accusing the Member of Parliament of the area, Gabriel Osei, wrongly of being behind the petition of the executives of the party.

“The executives are grown-ups and can make decisions for themselves, they have a four-year mandate to steer the affairs of the party in the constituency, we also accuse the DCE of being behind the arrest of some polling station executives of the party,” Mr Coulibaly indicated.

He urged all the party faithful, supporters, well wishers and sympathisers in the constituency to remain calm, as they use the right procedures to ensure the removal of Madam Dwommoh. -citinewsroom.com
