‘NPP has improved livelihoods of citizenry’

The National President of Staunch Queens, a female volunteer group of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Priscilla Akua Akonnor, has stated that the government has impacted the livelihoods of the citizenry in the past three years in the helm of affairs of the country.

“The government since taking over the governance of the country has improved livelihoods including those without formal education in skills and knowledge development,” she touted.

Addressing the first anniversary celebration of the Staunch Queens in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Ms Akonnor noted that over the past year the group had made significant impact to transform the nation in all spheres of endeavour to attract investment.

“Over the past one year, we have impacted lives by training in skills and knowledge in various trades to uplift them from poverty so as to impact on others to improve on the economy which the citizenry can attest to,” she stressed.

Ms Akonnor charged female volunteer groups of the party to educate and sensitise the electorate on the policy and programmes of the government to retain the government to continue its good works to sustain the momentum of the growth and development of the nation.

She admonished the various youth groups within the party not to compete among themselves so as to derail the focus and attractiveness of the party to floating voters towards another resounding victory in the December polls.

Godwin Adae-Mensah, the President of Patriotic Gents, another NPP group, in a solidarity message, indicated that the only competitor they should have in mind is the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and efforts should be channelled towards making it irrelevant and unattractive to the Ghanaian voter.

“The only way to do this, is by tightening our communication belt so as to be able to effectively and efficiently communicate the good works and achievements of our government.

“I entreat other NPP volunteer groups to work assiduously towards not only winning the 2020 elections but to break the eight-year cycle rule that has become widely accepted by the Ghanaian voter.

“We say well done to our ladies, staunch queens, for a journey well-travelled and effort worth the energies, continue with your good works, achievements and we will support and assist you in all your endeavours to retain our party in government in 2021,” Mr Adae-Mensah assured. -classfmonline.com
