No tangible projects in Bono East, Ahafo, Bono – Eric Adjei alleges

Eric Adjei, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Deputy Director of Communications for the Bono Region, has alleged that a tall list of stalwarts of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are natives of Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East regions but are not seeking the interest of the regions.

He insisted that there were no tangible projects in the three regions since the NPP assumed power in 2017.

According to Mr. Adjei, the Sunyani Municipality used to have a functioning airport where passengers could fly to Kumasi and Accra however,   the airport was shut down and has not been functional since 2015.

He indicated that “the three regions have fine gentlemen in government such as Attorney General and Minister of Justice, Godfred Dame, his deputy Tua Yeboah; the NPP’s Deputy General Secretary Nana Obiri Boahen, the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations, Ignatius Baffour Awuah; Obeng Busia, Chief Executive Officer of the Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority; former Inspector-General of Police James Oppong Boanuh and Colonel Damoah at the Customs Division of Ghana Revenue Authority, among others.

“All these stalwarts hail from the three regions yet the regions continue to lag behind in terms of progress, growth, and development when I contrast it with NDC stalwarts who hail from the regions, such as the General Secretary of NDC, Johnson Asiedu Nketia; National Communications Officer, Sammy Gyamfi and Women’s Organiser, Hannah Bisssiw, who were able to push for the regions’ progress, growth and development when our party was in power,” Mr. Adjei asserted. –classfmonline.com
