The Minister for Youth and Sports, Mr Isaac Asiamah has expressed delight at the Anas Aremeyaw Anas ‘Number 12’ exposé, claiming it has helped Ghana football reforms.

A video documentary on how top football officials betrayed the game was released by the investigative journalist which revealed the rots in Ghana football.

Football activities in the country have been in a standstill since the airing of the documentary.

Top referees in the country have since been sanctioned for corrupt practices with some receiving a lifetime ban.

Speaking to a section of Ghana’s sports media, the Sports Minister said the “Anas’ exposé has helped Ghana football reforms.”

“Now we can all see everything; from where we started and where we intend to go. Everything happening now is geared towards the development and enhancement of the game of football,” he told the press.

“We hope everything will be put in place to have our football back, we are still working on that.”

A FIFA/CAF Normalisation Committee team that has been set up to run football activities in the country will have until March next year to complete its work.”
