‘Nigeria will qualify for the World Cup’

Watford and Nigeria defender, William Troost Ekong is confident the Super Eagles will make it to Qatar 2022 ahead of the Black Stars in the keenly anticipated World Cup play-off tie.

The Stars have been drawn against the Super Eagles for the final play-offs of the FIFA World Cup qualifiers. The two sides will lock horns in March over two legs with the winner over the two legs securing one of the available tickets for Qatar 2022.

Ahead of the highly-anticipated clash between the two neighbours, Troost Ekong is very optimistic the Super Eagles will scale over the Black Stars.

“The next target for us now is to qualify for the World Cup. The experience the last time in Russia was great and we are all looking forward to making it to Qatar this time around,” Troost Ekong stated.
