NGOdonates medical equipment to Tamale Teaching Hospital

The Sankofa Medical Charities, a non-governmental organisation (NGO), has donated a dialysis machine and four dialysis wheelchairs to the Tamale Teaching Hospital (TTH) in the Northern Region.

This forms part of the NGO’s move to support the treatmentof patients suffering from kidney and other pandemic diseases.

Dr Al-Majeed Adam, who represented the NGO, presented the equipment to the hospital, saying that the organisation “has dedicated its efforts to fostering partnership to ensure medical education, equipment and supplies for communities”.

He said the NGO would sustain its efforts in supporting the hospital to provide healthcare needs of the people.

Dr Al-Majeed appealed to authorities of the hospital to use the equipment for their intended purpose.

Dr Abass Adam, Director of Medical Affairs of the TTH, thanked the NGO for the gesture, and pledged that the equipment would be used for the benefit of patients.

He said the donation would enable the hospital efficiently treat patients suffering from kidney disease.
