The junior national netball teams A and B of Ghana, the Rising Stars, have presented the trophy won at this year’s CNB Tournament to the Director General of the National Sports Authority (NSA).
The mini tournament played bi-annually in January in Lagos, Nigeria is opened to teams from the two countries.
Ghana’s Rising Stars teams A and B won their respective matches to lift the two trophies at stake.
Led by the Secretary General, Madam Gifty Mills and some national coaches and executives of the Ghana Netball Federation (GNF), presented the two trophies to Prof. Peter Twumasi, the Director General of the National Sports Authority.
The NSA boss presented a cash amount of GH¢2,000.00 to the teams as a form of motivation and advised them to concentrate on their education so that by the time they graduate into the senior national team, they would have become matured and self-dependent adults.
