The Ghana Football Association’s (GFA) Normalisation Committee (NC) has increased the participation fee for clubs in its special competition, Public Relations Officer of the Committee, Dan Kweku Yeboah, has announced.

According to him, the original GH¢ 20,000 appearance fee promised the clubs will now be raised to GH¢ 25, 000.

He confirmed the increment to Accra based Asempa FM in an interview over the weekend.

The move is believed to have been a response to the clubs’ bitter complains about the inadequacy of the previous participating fee, insisting it will not be enough for their preparations for the competition.

“The participation fee for the Normalisation Committee special competition has been increased from GH¢20,000 to GH¢25,000.”

“The Normalization Committee wants to revive Ghana football and do it for the better. So people should have patience.”

The Normalisation Committee special competition is scheduled to start on February 6, 2019.

In another development, New Edubiase captain, Stephen Manu has claimed that management of his club have failed to honour the players’ salaries since the Anas expose, of which they are struggling to understand why.

According to the former Asante Kotoko striker, Stephen Manu, the players of the club are going through hardship and management has paid a deaf ear to their plight.

The lanky forward says they (players) have given management an ultimatum to settle their arrears or else they will take the necessary steps. He further added that efforts to reach bankroller, Abdul Salam Yakubu have proved futile.

“Since the Anas Exposé, none of the Edubiase players have received anything from our team owner or the management,” he told Sunyani-based Metro FM Sports.

“We don’t have any problems with him, but we have given him up to Monday (today) to hear from him. If we don’t hear from him, he will hear from us,” he warned.
New Edubiase United were on top of the Zone Two table during the Division One League before the league was truncated.
