In his speech, Nana Siriboe expressed his gratitude to the government for appreciating his work and thanked MOFA staff for the extension services given to them.

He stated value addition was key to increasing profits in agriculture, adding that the theme for the occasion “Accelerating Agricultural Development through Value Addition” was accurate and timely.

He said the value addition required a huge youthful workforce and hence his outfit would partner the ministries and all stakeholders to promote the value addition agenda.

“We would engage the youth through hands on training to impact knowledge on best agricultural practices and to address key concerns in agriculture especially climate change, pest and disease control and post-harvest losses,” he stated.

He believed that would let the youth understand the business of agriculture, and would help them increase yields and make more money.

Nana Siriboe also stated his outfit together with the ministries would identify, motivate and mentor young entrepreneurial farmers.

“I would use myself as a role model to champion the youth in agricultural projects. I am a mechanical engineer by profession, so the youth now will know that gone are the days where agriculture was deemed to be for the aged, uneducated and unskilled,” he added.
