MTN FA Cup: Hearts, Kotoko face tricky ties

With the curtain drawn on the 2020/21 Ghana Premier League, attention will switch to the MTN FA Cup competition which reaches the quarter final stage this weekend.

Current holders, Asante Kotoko will welcome 2010 semifinalist Berekum Chelsea to the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium on Sunday in a keen contest.

The Porcupine Warriors will leave no stone overturn as the competition represents the only chance to win a trophy to book a spot in the next Africa Confederations Cup.

Ten-time champions, Accra Hearts of Oak will be engaged in a dicey duel with Elmina Sharks at the Nduom Stadium on Saturday.

Medeama SC will tussle with second-tier side Attram de Visser Soccer Academy at the Akoon Park on Sunday.

Having kicked out Okwahu United and Legon Cities on penalties, the Kasoa based team will aim to cause havoc to Medeama SC.

AshantiGold SC will lock horns with lower-tier side Kintampo Top Talent on Saturday at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

At the last four, winner from the Kotoko and Berekum Chelsea tie will face the winner of the Ashgold versus Kintampo Talent clash.

The winner of the Hearts of Oak versus Sharks game will lock horns with the winner from the Medeama SC versus Attram De Visser game.
