Memory Lane PGA 2023 tees off today

The Memory Lane Professional Golfers Association (PGA) 2023 tournament is set to tee off at the Royal Golf Club in Kumasi today.

The four-day professional medal event would be played by the rules of Royal and Ancient Golf Club, St Andrew and the local rules of Royal Golf Club.

However, in the event of a tie for the first position, there will be a play-off to determine the winner of the tournament, according to the organisers.

At stake for the winner of the competition is a whopping GH¢4,500 with other attractive prizes.

The Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, is expected to join the President of Ghana Golfers Association, Kwaku Okyere, PGA Ghana President, Mark Cofie Jnr and other personalities to perform the opening ceremony.

The PGA Ghana’s Director of Operations, Ahmed Padori, said all was set for the commencement of the championship, the second flagship tournament of the PGA.

The Memory Lane PGA championship would serve as a precursor to the main PGA championship to be staged at the Damang Golf Course, Tarkwa, in the Western region later in the year.
