Medeama, Legon Cities record wins

Medeama laboured to a 1-0 win over struggling Elmina Sharks yesterday in their Ghana Premier League match day 15 encounter at the Akoon Park.

Kwadwo Asamoah gave the home side the breather in the second half to be among the competitors for the ultimate silverware.

The Mauve and Yellow lads looked lethargic and out of sort as they struggled against the basement boys at the Akoon Park.

Asamoah came off the bench to score the decisive goal in the 69th minute to snatch the three points at stake.

At the Elwak Sports Stadium, Legon Cities produced a good performance to earn a comfortable 3-0 victory over Eleven Wonders.

Interestingly, both side slugged it out fiercely in a barren first half with fans expecting tougher exchanges in the second half.

But Legon Cities took control of the second half, giving very little space to their opponent to operate.

After 62 minutes, Hamza Nassiru fetched the opener to send their followers into wild jubilations.

Few moments after,Croster Obour Aduincreased the tally with a sublime and composed finished to leave Wonders with a tall order.

But they fought back for a goal with a few forays into the area of the hosts whose defence remained resolute and caught the visitors on the counter.

Eleven Wonders gave up the fight when experienced attacker, Jonah Attuquayestabbed them with a sumptuous third goal that plunged the arena into ecstasy, celebrating one of their best performances of the season.
