Mahama peddling falsehood in his criticism – NPP

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) says former President John Mahama is peddling falsehood to Ghanaians in his criticism of the management of the economy.

According to BuabenAsamoa, the Director of Communications of NPP, the former president was only engaged in stating untruths to prepare himself for the next elections.

He said Mr Mahama, was only going round to deceive his followers about the results of the 2020 presidential elections knowing very well that he lost the elections.

He was speaking at a press conference in Accra on  Thursday to respond to comments by Mr Mahama following his ‘Thank You Tour’ of the Greater Accra region.

Addressing issues regarding abandoned projects, the NPP Director insisted that Mr Mahama was bad at completing projects and that was why Ghanaians voted him out of power.

He further chastised the former president of borrowing and doing little.

The NPP government, he noted, in 2017 met a challenging economy which showed the abysmal performance of Mr Mahama while serving as president.

“Mr Mahama claims to know it all in his tours but in reality he did nothing about it when in power.

“When it comes to corruption, anybody but John Mahama should speak about it because the records are there to show that he was one of the most corrupt leaders Ghana has had,” he stated.

The NPP has been responding to claims by Mr Mahama during his “Thank You Tour” across the country.
