Mahama: NDC will win Election 2024 with revived energy

Former President John Dramani Mahama has expressed optimism the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will win Election 2024 with revived energy.

“The party has picked lessons from the 2020 elections, which will inform the party on how to approach the next elections and when I said do or die, I meant we will work hard,” he said.

The former president encouraged members and supporters of the party to partake in the upcoming internal elections to elect executives ahead of the next general election and was optimistic God would give the party victory in 2024.

Addressing members and supporters of the NDC in the Western Region as part of his ‘Thank you’ tour, former President Mahama postulated that the NDC believed in good governance and rule of law and law abiding, and those qualified should partake in the exercise.

He had indicated that times were difficult for Ghanaians under the New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration and stressed that the NDC would win the 2024 elections with revived energy through lessons learnt from the 2020 elections.

“Food prices and other commodities are increasing on daily basis, fuel costs are rising, every day pump prices go up, this year many unions are unhappy with negotiations that took place where paltry 4 per cent was given to them when those of Article 71 office holders have been given wider increment.

“Even though the government initiated free Senior High School it has no jobs for the youth for them when they complete tertiary education and times are hard and people are suffering, food prices increasing and hardships not being resolved and I believe soon our traditional authorities will speak about it,” former President Mahama bemoaned.

He intimated that the 2020 manifesto document of the NDC contained solutions to challenges and problems the citizenry were saddled with at the moment, including plans for job creation, economy, infrastructure and creating one million jobs for unemployed youth.Business are suffering, the economy is collapsing and all answers to what the nation was going through are in NDC’s 2020 manifesto.

“Due to good contents of our manifesto, that of NPP was relegated to the background by analysts because after it no one discussed NPP’s manifesto, they all focused attention on ours,” former President Mahama touted. -3news.com
