Former president John Dramani Mahama is expected to visit the Oti Region on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 as part of his ‘Thank You’ tour.
The National Democratic Congress (NDC), during the 2020 general election, won all the eight parliamentary seats in the region.
Mr Mahama would do a live radio programme on “Beyond FM” in the Nkwanta South Municipality, which would feed all local radio stations across the Oti enclave.
In a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) by Mr Mubarak, the Oti NDC Communication Director, Mr Mahama was expected to speak on his ‘unbreakable legacy’ in the region amongst them being the CHPS Compounds, E-Blocks, roads, hospitals, and schools.
It said Mr Mahama was expected to engage with party stakeholders, all former and current regional executives, Oti Regional parliamentary caucus, Regional Council of Elders, 2020 parliamentary aspirants, former government appointees, constituency executives, TEIN patrons, cadres and former MPs at Kyabobo centre.
Former President Mahama would also interact with the Regional House of Chiefs and other sub-chiefs at the Gateway Conference Hall at Nkwanta, the statement said.
He would meet the chiefs and people of the newly inaugurated Guan District at Likpe Mate, the district capital, it said.
