‘Let’s embark on c’nity tours to energise grassroots towards 2020 victory’

Isaac Adjei Mensah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Wassa East in the Western Region, has urged the leadership of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to join forces and embark on community tours to energise the grassroots and branch executives within all the branches of constituencies to ensure electoral victory in 2020.

He explained that the branches in all the constituencies needed to be energised and whip their enthusiasm to campaign vigorously to make the party attractive to first time voters and floating voters to win the elections.

Mr Mensah cautioned that the 2020 elections should not be taken for granted but there was the need for harder work and leadership qualities for those at the grassroots not to rest on their oars and think the election had already been won due to hardship and mismanagement of the economy.

“I have pledged to continue with the developmental agenda I have championed since becoming the MP for the area to make life meaningful for the constituents to make the party attractive for them to realise the difference between us and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and I appreciate my endorsement and the confidence reposed in me as the candidate of the National Democratic Congress for the 2020 general election.

“I urged them to have trust in me and the NDC and vote for me as their parliamentarian and our flagbearer former President John Mahama in 2020 to bring massive development to the constituency and the nation.

“I think I am more than capable of occupying the seat since I have demonstrated that I do have the capacity to advocate a lot of things for the constituency and I belong to a strong party, which is a diplomatic and development oriented,” Mr Mensah assured. –GNA
