Leading an Extraordinary Life, A Guide for Personal Transformation, a 187-page book which talks about self-empowerment and how to succeed in life, has been launched in Accra.
The 23-chapter book, authored by Kojo Kwarteng, the Head of Corporate Affairs of GCB Bank Plc, provides tips for individuals to succeed in life.
Ambassador Kabral Blay Amihere, former Chairman of the National Media Commission, launched the book and commended Mr Kwarteng for authoring it.
“The youth of today are thirsty and hungry for knowledge and knowledge can be found in books,” and said it was commendable, Mr Kwarteng had put the experience and knowledge he had gained over the years in a book.
He said it was important for people to write their memoirs and autobiographies to document the experiences in life.
“I have held the conviction that every Ghanaian must write and have a story to write,” stressing that would help to close the gaps in the country’s history.
Mr Amihere said writing would help to preserve the country’s history, culture, heritage and values.
The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Roverman Productions, Mr Ebo White, who reviewed the book, said it was easy to read and the chapters were short.
“The language of the story is easy and friendly and can be easily understood. The range of topics for the chapters are relevant and all-encompassing,” Mr Whyte, said.
The CEO of Roverman Productions indicated the book would serve as a guide to the youth to lead meaningful and fruitful life.
He said the book would also serve as a footprint for posterity, saying “lack of footprints is the reason people take credit for things that have been done long time ago.”
“The topic on how to begin a business is exciting and makes the reading of the book more meaningful and worthwhile,” he said.
Uncle Ebo Whyte recommended the book to the youth, churches, clubs, schools, saying “We would have the society the good if the book was found in every home and organisations in the country.”
Mr Kwarteng said he was motivated to write to share the knowledge he had gained and the experiences he had gone through for the current future generations.
He said individual like Ebo Whyte, Ivor Agyeman Duah, Dr Lawrence Tetteh and a blind American author motivated him to write the book.
“Also, the inspiration I got through preaching at church, counseling, delivering lectures reinforced my ideas and thoughts to write,” Mr Kwarteng, said.
According to him, it took him more than three and half years to write the book.
Mr Kwarteng said the book treated such as “Staying Employable in the changing times,” “Making Yourself Marketable,” “Marketing Your Skills,” “Awakening the Entrepreneurial Within,” “Loving and Protecting the Environment,” and “Hope for the Hopeless.”
An International Evangelist, Revered Dr Lawrence Tetteh, chaired the programme, and said the book reflect the life of Mr Kwarteng, stressing that in spite of what the author had achieved in life he still has reverence for God.
He advised the Ghanaians particularly, the youth, to cultivate the habit of reading.
