LaDMA supports Muslims Ramadan

The La Dade-Kotopon Municipal Assembly (LaDMA) on Friday presented bags of rice, sugar, cartons of tomato paste, cooking oil and face masks totaling GH¢10,000 to the Ghana Police Mosque, La Mother Mosque and La Dadekotopon Muslims Community to enable them to break their fast in the month of Ramadan.

Reverend Solomon Kotey Nikoi, the Municipal Chief Executive of LaDMA who presented the items to the beneficiaries, urged them to seek the face of God (Allah) to heal the nation from the scourge of the coronavirus.

“We hope that these items would be put to judicious use during the fasting break and most especially wearing of the face mask always when going out” he said.”

The MCE told the Muslims that wearing of face masks is compulsory in the municipality and urged them to intensify education in the communities.

Superintendent of Police, Imam Husein Abdur Rahim Husein of the Ghana Police Mosque, expressed his profound gratitude to LaDMA for the kind gesture.

Alhaji Ibrahim Leetei Mensah, Chief Imam Jallo of the Greater Accra Regional Gadangme Tijaniya and Sheikh Abdur Rashid Odoi, the La Municipal Chief Imam who were present said the food items and the face masks would be distributed to Muslims.
