Kumasi Asante Kotoko recorded their first victory of the season when they defeated newly-promoted side, Nsoatreman FC 2-1at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in their second betPawa Ghana Premier League match on Wednesday.
Kotoko secured the lead from the spot through Stephen Amankona in the 14th minute.
That was after he was brought down in the box in an attempt to score.
Kotoko increased the tally in the 47th minute through Isaac Oppong who blasted home Steven Mukwala’s pass.
The visitors pumped more heat into the game and pulled a goal back through Philip Ofori’s powerful header that smashed the woodwork before entering the net in the 49th minute.
Kotoko increased the tempo of the game but all chances that fell for Steven Mukwalawere missed by their attackers.
