Kotoko can pass RTU test in Tamale

The Aliu Mahama Stadium will come alive today when Real Tamale United (RTU) host defending champions Kumasi Asante Kotoko in their match day eight game of the on-going betPawa Ghana Premier League.

The ‘Pride of the North’ at 12th position on the league table ended the unbeaten run of current league leaders Aduana Stars last Sunday when they defeated them 1-0 at the same venue.

They would surely take inspiration from that game as they welcome Kotoko whose last visit to the ground ended in a 2-1 defeat last season.

Coach Baba Nuhu of RTU believes that feat would spur his side on to pick all three points at stake.

Having lost away to Great Olympics 2-1 in mid-week, coach Nuhu has indicated his team would not go into the break with two defeats and would bounce back strongly against the Porcupine Warriors.

For Kotoko, the draw against Legon Cities at home in mid-week took some shine off their roller-coaster performance this season which has seen them amass 14 points to place third on the log.

Coach Seydou Zerbo will welcome back from suspension his talismanic skipper Richard Boadu who has proved key to the success of the side this season.

In Accra, Hearts of Oak will chase their fourth win of the season when they come up against Dreams FC.

The Phobians beat Accra Lions 3-1 with 10 men in midweek, for which reason they will miss their midfield dynamo, Gladson Awako.

Dreams FC, however, come on the back of a defeat in the hands of Bechem United and would strive to bounce back against the Phobians.

The Nsenkyire Sports Arena in Samreboi will witness the clash between FC Samartex 1996 and Karela United.

In other games, Bechem United will stay at the Nana Fosu Gyabour Park to welcome new boys Nsoatreman FC in a game the host are tipped to snatch all three points.

King Faisal, will look to build on their midweek success when they host Accra Lions at the Baba Yara Stadium tomorrow.

At the Golden City Park in Berekum, 10th placed Berekum Chelsea will hope to get back to winning ways after going down to Aduana Stars in Dormaa, as they host Great Olympics.

High-flying Legon Cities will take on Bibiani Gold Stars at the El-Wak Stadium

Medeama SC and Kotoku Royals FC will battle for the points at stake when they clash at the Tarkwa Akoon Park while Tamale City host Aduana Stars at the Aliu Mahama Stadium tomorrow.
