JOSA 1991 year group donates to alma mater

The 1991 year group of Saint John’s Grammer Senior High School (JOSA) has donated items valued at GH¢49,000 to its alma mater at Dome-Achimota Accra last Thursday.

The items are 80 mono desks, bed sheets, detergents and a sign post.

The president of JOSA 1991, Superintendent of the Police (Supt) Olivia Turkson making the presentation on behalf of the group said the group both home and abroad, saw the need to give back to the school.

 “We contacted the management of the school of our intention to give back to the school and they gave us the list of what they needed as a school which we are providing today,” She added

Supt. Turkson who is also of the Sogakope Divisional Police Command, commended the management of the school for their continuous efforts in improving education the country.

She assured the management of the group’s continuous support to the school.

The president urged the students to shun bad company and concentrate on their books.

The Assistant Head of Administration of the School, Rev. Dr Mrs Betty Baidoo on behalf of the school management commended members of the year group for the kind gesture.

“The donation to the school is commendable, after 31 years as a year group, you have come back to assist your Alma mater,” She added

She assured that the items would be used for its intended purpose.

Rev. Baidoo who is also the Chaplain of the School urged other year groups to emulate JOSA 1991 to support the school in their activities.
