‘I can retain Bortianor/Ngleshie/Amanfrom seat for NPP if elected’

A parliamentary aspirant hopeful of the Bortianor/Ngleshie/Amanfrom Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Fred Abban, has pleaded with delegates of his constituents to vote for him and reject the incumbent Member of Parliament (MP) and other contestants in the upcoming parliamentary primary.

“Delegates should reject our MP in the upcoming parliamentary primary, you know I care for the youth, elderly, children and vulnerable in the constituents and I will need your votes to continue serving you, this is the first time I’m contesting parliamentary primary in the constituency and I will need your support and assistance to retain the seat,” he pleaded.

Bortianor/Ngleshie/Amanfrom constituency which is also part of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) 169 seats in Parliament is set to hold its parliamentary primaries on April 25, 2020, for the 2020 general election.

Mr Abban bemoaned the lack of growth, development and challenges facing the constituency which included bad roads, water and electricity, health and education among others which indicated that the MP had failed to bring growth and development to the constituency saying, “We gave our mandate to our MP to bring growth and development to us, unfortunately, he has failed us.”

He expressed his determination, and commitment to secure a GH₵1million in soft loans to party members who operate small medium enterprises to rejuvenate their businesses, in talks with partners both local and abroad to secure the funds to assist and support the constituents.

Mr Abban assured to operate an open-door policy when given the nod as MP, communicate issues that happens in parliament to his constituents through community meetings, engagement, before single-handedly improve road network, provision of streetlights, payment of school fees for first and second-degree holders, hospital bills of constituents, registered over one thousand people on the National Health Insurance Scheme and secured job opportunities for the youth.

 “With all these good works, my constituency executives, delegates and constituents, I know and understand the challenges and appreciate the love shown me which must be reciprocated,” Mr Abban promised. -kasapafmonline.com
