Honda HR-V 2022 Model launched

The Honda Place (THP) Ghana Limited yesterday launched the all new Honda HR-V 2022 model in Accra.

Having a bold and stylish exterior appearance, the vehicle is equipped with advanced technology and safety features including an air diffusion system, six airbags, hill descent control, hill start assist and an emergency stop signal.

Other safety features are the auto rain sensing wipers, power folding mirrors, rear fog lights, smart entry with touch sensor and walk-away auto lock.

Mr Jerry Abdullah, Senior Sales Consultant, THP, in a presentation on the vehicle said the HR-V’sspacious interior had a solid, premium Sports Utility Vehicle(SUV) feel, with contemporary fabric, leather, and soft-touch material combinations.

“The interior design puts emphasis on visibility, easy operation and sense of space. A horizontal dashboard layout sets the scene for a ride focused on the road ahead with an intuitive infotainment screen that defines contemporary design,” he added.

Mr Abdullah said the vehicle’s rear seat occupant reminder notifies the driver to check the rear seat when the ignition was turned off to prevent any rear occupant from being left behind before the car was locked.

“This is especially helpful for families with small children and pets,” he added.

Mr Abdullah said during an “oversteer or understeer condition,”the Vehicle Stability Assist (VSA) could brake individual wheels or reduce engine power to help restore one’s intended course.

“The All-New Honda HR-V offers a 1.5L engine coupled with a Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) engine which is uniquely tuned for enhanced power delivery, engine sound, overall refinement, and fuel economy ratings,” he added.

Mr Manish Daryanani, Business Head for Sales and Marketing, THP Ghana Limited said the new HR-V was targeted at young adults who were always connected, computerised, clicking and chose things with consideration while sharing their choice and experience with friends, family and peers.

Mr Daryanani noted that the HR-V would play an important role in the country and increase Honda’s sales as the SUV market was increasing.

“This SUV with stylish design and advanced features will be the competitive entry model for Honda SUV lineup,” he said.

“With the introduction of HR-V, Honda will change the mindset of customers with our product strategy from ‘I need a car’ to I want a Honda,”he added.

Mr Mahesh Mahtani, Country Director, THP Ghana Limited, appealed to all to purchase their vehicles from authorised distributors to get value for money as there were many fake products on the market across the country.

He said THP had over the years remained committed to the supplication of quality automobile products unto the country’s market and would continue to do so with its endowed staff.

The Japanese Ambassador to Ghana, Mochizuki Hisanobu, commended THP for the work it had been doing over the years in the country.

He said the launch of the HR-V marked a new chapter for the THP brand, adding that it would enhance industrial growth as well support the automobile industry to positively affect the country’s economy.
