Hearts, Kotoko get kind draws in FA Cup

Defending champions Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak have earned a relatively kind draws in the round of 64 stage of the MTN FA Cup competition when the draw was held yesterday.

The Asanteman team drawn second-tier side Asokwa Deportivo in a game they are expected to sail through while rivals Hearts of Oak will make a short trip to Nungua to face Danbort.

Yesterday’s draw witnessed by representatives of some of the clubs will see a few derbies and clash of elite sides.

Karela United FC host former winners Medeama SC in Tarkwa while Legon Cities are billed to face Inter Allies at the Accra Sports Stadium.

Aduana Stars will host Bechem United at the Nana Agyeman Badu I Park in Dormaa while Heart of Lions is handed a tough assignment against Premier League side WAFA SC.

Former Premier League side, Mighty Jets will host returnees Great Olympics in a game that will revive their rivalry at the Division One League platform while Attram De Visse face Tema Youth and Legon Cities clashing with Inter Allies.

Uncle T FC will play as guests of Emmanuel FC; Accra City FC will lock horns with Liberty Professionals while Akache All Stars are set to face Lekpe Heroes.

Akosombo Krystal Palace will lock horns with Vision FC at Akosombo while Okwawu United host Blue Skies Pelicans at Nkawkaw; Dreams FC will play as guests of Phar Rangers while Ebusua Dwarfs face Star Madrid.

At Swedru, All Blacks will hope to upset Elmina Sharks; Unistar Academy are favourites against Skyy FC; Venomous Vipers oblige Suamponman United to Cape Coast while FC Samartex engage Nkwantaman United.

Eleven Wise will lock horns with Nzema Kotoko; Karela FC will clash with Medeama SC in all Premier League clash, Thunderbolt FC to face King Faisal; Ashgold would scale the Achiken FC hurdle while Pacific Heroes host BYF Academy.

Elsewhere, RTU will play Young Zombia; Tamale City FC set for Kintampo FC; Paga Crocodiles will clash with Zuarungu FC; Wa Suntaa FC will slug out with Was Yasin FC; BA United engage Bofoakwa Tano in a regional derby; Unity FC/Berekum Arsenal will face Berekum Chelsea; DC United will encounter Wamanafo Mighty Royals; Kenyase New Dreams FC will come face to face with Eleven Wonders while Kintampo Top Talent play Young Apostles.
