Hearts agree to honour President’s Cup match

Ghana Premier League giants, Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, has officially accepted an invitation to feature in this year’s “President Cup” against arch-rivals Asante Kotoko, slated for September 8, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, Kumasi.

A club statement signed by Communications Manager, Mr Kwame Opare Addo, said, ”The Management is pleased to inform the teeming supporters that it has agreed to honour the 2019 President Cup against Kotoko”.’

The statement added that the club has concluded a deal with Turkish Construction firm, Prefabex for the Pobiman project.

”The club is currently conducting preliminary survey which includes geotechnical services, topographic mappings of the proposed construction area and many others, which are all necessary to be completed before the project starts,’ the statement said.

Management was thankful to their supporters for patronising and promoting their Umbro replica jerseys having also entreated them to sign onto the ”Phobian4life” supporter mobilisation project.

Meanwhile Hearts are reported to have sold over 3,000 Umbro replica jerseys, according to the club’s communication director Opare Addo.

According to Opare, the club is doing its possible best to sell the entire number of replica jerseys supplied by Umbro.

“We have sold over 3,000 Umbro Replica jerseys, and we are doing our possible best to sell all the 6,200 replica Jerseys as supplied”, Opare told Asempa FM.

 Opare Addo further stressed the club was intensifying its sales strategy by opening more sales outlets.

He said the team will have sales representatives in Kumasi before the club’s Presidents Cup match against Asante Kotoko, and also work to open more centres in Central and Western regions. –GNA
