Health Zone presents food items to Nima Mallam Musah Mosque

Members of the Health Zone, a social media platform committed to health promotion and sensitisation, on Saturday put smiles on worshippers at the Nima Mallam Musah Mosque, as they presented food packsand beverage for them to break their fast.

The members also donated copies of the Holy Qur’an to the worshippers and took turns to educate them on good health habits, especially their choice of food as they observe theRamadan fast.

The founder of the Health Zone, Ms Rabiatu Wattigi Mahmoud, a journalist and physician assistant,told the Ghanaian Times that she used the Health Zone social media handles to appeal to philanthropists, who willingly made donations to support the project.

She thanked the donors for responding to her appeal to support the Muslims to observe their fast.

Ms Rabiatu Wattigi Mahmoud said the members felt the need to reach out to the worshippers in this blessed month of Ramadan,as their contribution to humanity.

She urged the worshipers to live a healthy life and also to commit to God during this Holy month of Ramadan for God to continue to bless the country with abundance of prosperity and peace.

The worshippers expressed gratitude to the members for their show of love  to them, and pray to God to guide them in their  work and bestow them with much resources to be able to reach out to more people, in their of time of need.

The founder said she was in the process of registering the Health Zone as a foundation to be able to mobilise adequate resources, and undertake much more humanitarian and health servicesto the vulnerable communities.

The group last donated quantity of foodstuff to the House of Grace School for the Deaf at Bortianor.
