Hasaacas, Bofoakwa, RTU record wins in DOL

Former Premier League side Sekondi Hasaacas defeated Unistar Academy 1-0 in their Division One League (DOL) Zone 2 match day six fixtures played at the Unistar Academy Park in Kasoa on Sunday.

Despite their dominance, Hasaacas failed to make the most of the numerous opportunities that came their way as 

Sampson Eduku, Philip Flamini and Obed Kofi Sam took turns to miss opportunities that came their way. 

Back from recess, former Asante Kotoko, AshantiGold and Medeama midfield dynamo Joseph Theophilus Nyame who was adjudged the Player-of-the-Match volleyed home a thunderbolt from outside the box which zoomed into the bottom left corner of the net for the winner.

In other results from the zone, Skyy FC FC drew goalless with BYF Academy, Proud United lost 2-0 to Samartex 1996, Achikens FC drew 1-1 with Swedru All Blacks while Nzema Kotoko and New Edubiase won 3-0 and 2-0 respectively against Pacific Heroes and Venomous Vipers.

Zone One leaders, B.A United failed to get past Young Apostles, settling for a goalless game away. That blip saw Tano Bofoakwa cut United’s lead on the log to two points after posting a 2-1 win over Steadfast FC. 

RTU defeated Mighty Royals 1-0, Wa Suntaa beat Nkoranza Warriors 1-0, Berekum Arsenal won 1-0 over Unity FC, Tamale City beat Yendi Gbewa 2-0, Kintampo FC won 2-1 over Nsoatreman while Techiman City defeated Paga Crocodiles 3-0. 

Zone three leaders Vision FC kept their hold of the top spot with a  3-1 win over Agbozume Weavers; second place Kotoku Royals beat Phar Rangers 1-0, Tema Youth drew 1-1 with Danbort FC, Heart of Lions beat Accra City Stars 1-0, Uncle T United and Amidaus FC drew 1-1, Akosombo Krystal Palace FC and  Young Wise game ended goalless with Tudu Mighty Jet losing 0-1 to Nania FC.
