The McDan Aviation, a subsidiary of the McDan Group of Companies,
will today launch a new private jet lounge located at the Kotoka International Airport in Accra.
The Group Chairman of Companies, Dr Daniel McKorley, said the facility would then be opened to airlines from across the world.
Speaking in an interview, he indicated that when passengers arrive on a private jet at the Kotoka International Airport, the new private jet lounge would be available to them.
“Services at the terminal are scheduled to be available to private jet operators and individuals. The lounge has a conference room for people who want to have business meetings at the airport without necessarily going into the city,” he said.
He further explained that, “You can arrive at the airport and have your meeting and go back. The McDan Commercial Private Jet Services will offer employment to over 400 Ghanaians when its operations begin this year.”
Dr McKorley also pointed out that the company would kick-start the commercial private jet services with three jets and a helicopter, while arrangements would be made for the addition of the bombardier, chaligerer, BV jet, and helicopters to offer air-ambulance medical and domestic tourism.
According to Dr McKorley, Ghana was opening up to the world, hence, the need to set another standard in a business where businessmen and women would have the opportunity to do business with ease as far as travel is concerned.
