Ghana’s ambassador to Belgium pledges support for juvenile tennis

Ghana’s ambassador to Belgium and European Union (EU) representative, Sena Siaw Boateng, has pledged to support juvenile tennis in the country.

She made the pledge over the weekend when she presented tennis equipment worth thousands of cedis to the Ridge Church tennis juvenile club.

The donation which was to support the GT Oddoye Academy included rackets, balls, towels, and bags.

Ambassador Boateng, a member of the Accra Lawn Tennis Club (ALTC) said she has followed and actively participated in tennis and pointed out that the gesture was aimed at supporting the upbringing of the juvenile tennis players.

“It has been my dreams to see a lot of the kids grow up to become tennis stars. That passion is what drove me to support with the presentation which I hope will go a long way to shape their future tennis careers, especially among young girls.”

Tournament Director of the Club, Peter Annan, who received the items thanked the tennis enthusiast for the gesture and appealed to other individuals to emulate Madam Boateng’s example.
