Ghana Export-Import Bank wins 4 awards

Ghana Export-Import Bank (GEXIM), the leading export finance institution and a Policy and Development Bank, won four Awards at the 2019 Ghana Human Resource Innovation Awards Night event held in Accra.

The awards night, organised by Instinct Wave, an event organising company, was held to recognise and reward outstanding Human Resource Practitioners and Human Resource focussed organisations in Ghana for their innovations in the profession and contributions towards the development of the human capital in Ghana.

Ghana Export-Import Bank, for its outstanding performance in the field of Human Resource management, picked Awards in the area of “Human Resource Team of the Year 2019-Public Sector”; “Human Resource Innovation of the year 2019”; “Gold Most People-focussed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the year 2019” to Mr Lawrence Agyinsam, whilst Mr Michael Tetteh Voetagbe, General Manager, Human Resource and Administration was adjudged as one of the Top 20 HR practitioners and presented with an Award.

In a post event interview, Mr Lawrence Agyinsam, CEO of the Bank, dedicated the awards to the Board, Management and Staff for their cooperation and support towards the smooth transition from an Agency to a full policy and development Bank within two years.

He also urged the Human Resource department in particular and Staff in general, not to be complacent with the awards but rather strive hard to excel in their chosen profession, for the Organisation and Ghana.

Present at the Awards Night was Mrs Nana Ama Poku, Deputy Chief Executive Officer and other Heads of Departments.

Ghana Export-Import Bank was established by an Act of Parliament 2016 (Act 911) with the objective to support and develop directly or indirectly, trade between Ghana and other countries and to build Ghana’s competitiveness in the International market-place.
