GFA, Delta Paper Mill announce Flora Goal partnership

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) and Delta Paper Mill Limited – producers of Flora Tissues, have announced a one- year renewable partnership deal valued at GH¢1.5m

The partnership between Flora Tissues and GFA, includes a sales component, product sponsorships, event sponsorships, promotion of sport-related activities and is aimed at helping bring back the love for the Black Stars and the other national teams.

Throwing light on the partnership, Marketing Director at Delta Paper Mill Limited, Ms Barbara Incoom, said the deal was to rekindle the passion and enjoyment Ghanaians had for the great game of football.

“The GFA-Flora Goal partnership is a major milestone for us at Flora Tissues, as this is the first time we are partnering a major football establishment, which is the GFA, to champion an agenda such as #bringbackthelove for the Black Stars and the other national teams.”

She noted that as part of the partnership, Flora Tissues will brand tissue products with the Flora Goal logo themed with the national colours and this will be available for purchase in shops and markets in across Ghana and beyond.

“Every purchase of a Flora goal branded tissue product is a show of support for the Black Stars and other national teams, as a percentage of sales will go to support the activities of the GFA.

“It is our custom as Ghanaians both home and abroad to buy and display Ghana and Black Stars themed souvenirs during such major football tournaments in support of our beloved Black Stars and our nation.”

“In two months, the Qatar 2022 World Cup will kick off, and the support of corporate Ghana is invaluable in creating the right atmosphere for the enjoyment of the game and the success of the Black Stars; and we at Flora Tissues are happy to contribute our quota and believe that with our support through this partnership, and that of others from corporate Ghana, our National teams will make Ghana proud,” she added.

President of the GFA, Kurt Edwin Simon Okraku, expressed joy at the partnership as according to him it underlined the confidence of corporate Ghana in the Football Association.

“We are not taking this partnership lightly because we believe that between our good self and Flora Tissues we have a history to make, a history to position our individual brands to the levels that we all want; a history to make our sport what it ought to be.

“This is a new beginning which the Football Association is very committed to and ready to invest in to the last lap, a relationship that we want to keep for better and for worse.”

In attendance were Executive Council Members – Dr Tony Aubynn, Madam Habiba Atta Forson, former Black Stars skipper John Mensah, Laryea Kingston and Charles Taylor, Operations Director at Delta Paper Mill Limited Dany Skaf and Flora Tissues Brand Ambassador Serwaa Amihere.
