GCB Bank Plc donates to Chief Imam towards Eid-ul-Fitr

 GCB Bank PLC has donated assorted food items and GHȻ100,000 to the National Chief Imam, Sheikh Os­manu Nuhu Sharubutu, to support this year’s Eid-ul-Fitr celebrations.

The items, which include 20 bags of rice, 15 gallons of oil, 100 packs of bottled water, 40 packs of dates, 15 bags of sugar and two large bags of beans, form part of efforts to support the Muslim community during the holy month of Ramadan.

Mr Kofi Adomakoh, the Manag­ing Director of GCB Bank PLC, speaking at the event in Accra last Friday, expressed appreciation to the Chief Imam for his significant role in promoting peace in Ghana and beyond.

He acknowledged the Chief Imam as a pillar of peace, and stated that all Ghanaians, regardless of their religious beliefs, look up to him.

Mr Adomakoh highlighted GCB’s long-standing commitment to supporting charitable causes and giving back to the community.

He emphasised that the donation to the National Chief Imam was just one example of their ongoing efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of Ghanaians.

He described the donation as a heartwarming demonstration of their corporate social responsibil­ity and a display of solidarity and compassion towards those in need.

The Chief Imam expressed his gratitude for the gesture and prayed for Allah’s blessings upon the bank.

He also commended GCB for its integral role in national develop­ment and encouraged the bank to continue prioritising the interests of Ghanaians.

He emphasised the importance of unity and solidarity among different religious communities in Ghana and commended GCB for its commitment to supporting those in need.

The Chief Imam further high­lighted the economic challenges faced by families and expressed his appreciation for the timely donation.

He assured that the items would be distributed to needy families within the Muslim community.

The GCB delegation, led by the Managing Director, included the Customer Experience Manager, Muniru Muktar, Sina Kamagate, Head of Retail Banking Depart­ment, and other top officials of the bank.
