The Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) has announced that its Elective Congress will be held on December 18 at the Media Center of the Accra Sports Stadium.
The exercise will see the election or re-election of officers into executive positions to steer the affairs of the GBF.
Mr. George Lamptey, the incumbent president of the federation confirmed to the Times Sports yesterday that plans were far advanced to hold the election after the expiration of the current executive.
He has officially announced that he will contest for re-election as president to continue with the good work he has done with support from his team.
“I believe I have done very well during the term. It was difficult and quite challenging but we endured. We were able to win bronze at the Tokyo Olympics.”
